Use case

Physics, school and engineering

Keep acceleration, force and velocity apart and do not confuse lower-case g with the gram.

Working steps

  1. Check which quantity is actually asked for: acceleration, force or velocity.
  2. Convert velocity to m/s before computing with it — divide km/h by 3.6.
  3. Bring acceleration into m/s²; multiply g values by 9.80665.
  4. For a force additionally provide the mass in kilograms, because force is mass times acceleration.
  5. When working with trigonometric functions check the calculator mode: degrees or radians.
