Time: seconds, minutes, hours and days
The second is the SI base unit of time. Minute, hour and day are legally defined multiples of it; the week is pure convention.

A day is exactly 86,400 seconds and a week exactly 604,800 seconds. A year has no fixed number of seconds: this table uses the Julian year of 365.25 days, because the calendar length varies with leap years.
